City Rain serves the Seattle area and specializes in water conservation solutions to your landscape irrigation needs.

We design and install new sprinkler systems, repair and remodel old ones, winterize and activate in the spring, drip solutions for pots, hanging baskets, and window boxes. We also install and service outdoor lighting. Our niche is residential service work. Our company is small and we take a personal approach to each property with an eye for detail and maximum water efficiency. Combined, our staff has over 80 years of experience solving the trickiest problems in the field. City Rain is a member in good standing of the Irrigation Association.

Our Team:
Owner Craig Penner started City Rain in the Madison Valley in 1979 to focus on wise water use, and has served most areas of Seattle ever since.

Nick Millward has worked in the landscape irrigation industry since 1989 and has been with City Rain since February 2000. Certified by the Irrigation Association as an Irrigation Contractor, Designer, Technician, Auditor, and Water Manager, he is also an IA instructor for their continuing education programs.

David E. Scott, CIT, with City Rain since 2018, is our Certified Irrigation Technician.

Technicians Will, Freddi, Steve, Consuela, and admin Mo round out our team year-round.
